Jason Anderson – Life Sucks Love Sucks Dose Out

Just a quick one today for you Sunday Bloggin’ folks.  This one is quick, but worth stopping and listening to.

I have been a bit of a fan of Jason Anderson (or Wolf Colonel at one point) for previous albums such as “The Wreath” in 2005 and “Tonight” in 2007 released on K Records.   Anderson had made a bit of a transition in sound from album to album here as he was a bit more contemplative and hushed in 2006 while he kicked it up for his 2007 release.  Here we are in 2008 and we have a new 10 track release on a new label in “Life Sucks Love Sucks Dose Out” and Anderson’s return to his former quiet and lonely moments.

From the press kit, it pretty much sums it up;

Life Sucks Love Sucks Dose Out is the sound of reaching out and not knowing what’s at the end of your fingertips. It is music to be played in the dark and maybe with candles lit. It is solitary but also somehow universal. It is beautiful and sad but at the right moments remembering hope. This album is 10 great songs that patiently unfold before you becoming a closer confidant and friend with every listen.

So enjoy a track, pick up an album if you wish, but relax already…its Sunday.
