I haven’t picked it up yet, but I imagine the reissue of Neil Young – After the Goldrush is going to be amazing.

I just purchased a copy before the reissue and it sounds fantastic. (even though you’re not concerned with the audiophile aspect of vinyl)

lol…I just ordered the “Songs: Ohia”, “Axxess & Ace” and “The Lioness” LPs without knowing about your last comment….strange things happen at slowcoustic hq…I had them just in mp3 format and thought it would be time to buy them for real.

and one band you must have on vinyl too is Low…but maybe this could get very expensive…I have to look out for the Low vinyl myslef and I really don’t know which albums were released as LPs…but “Long Division” on vinyl would be amazing :)

@RL – Just received my J. Tillman 7″ after work today and Orange got his last week. I guess it isn’t really a “pre-order” anymore!!

Molina vinyl can never be bad either…I have a couple Songs:Ohia because EVERYONE NEEDS SONGS:OHIA VINYL!

Great news about the new J. Tillman 7″. I had no idea that was coming out. Not being much of a vinyl man myself, I don’t have much to recommend. I do own the “In Ocean/Midnight Floor” 7″, but that’s about it. If you don’t have Jason Molina’s ‘Pyramid Electric Co. (which is only available in vinyl with a CD insert), that’s definitely a must-have.

hmm…because I think you know all the music I know and surly a good amount more it is a bit hard to give recommendations. But I think you really should buy the “Seasonal Sevens” 7” from Autumn Ferment Records. I also ordered the Mike Hale LP “Lives Like Mine” on clear/black vinyl that sounds and looks just beautiful (but maybe this is the rocker gone soft-category ;) Molina and Johnson is a must have (alone because of the great cover artwork) and the Daniel, Fred & Julie is a double must have. The Mountain Man 7” coming in January will be awesome and Haruko on vinyl is just like dreaming. As I said, you know all the music mentioned but I really think it is a good thing to have it on vinyl. Have a nice day.

oh. i love vinyl and bought these three as well. all great. yesterday i just unpacked the new tiny vipers on vinyl. came out finally. so i would propose this, as it’s my latest and one of my favorites of the year. (by the way. this item is way overpriced, but it’s limited and handmade, so i bought it anyhow)
