Video Friday with I Am Oak!

Today I bring you 2 of the 3 videos from I Am Oak with his Naked Fish Session.  I know there are a lot of these video makers doing the “intimate, acoustic versions” of artists in varying locations across the globe but I love it!  There used to be only a few websites that did video sessions and now they seem to be all over the place!  This is another set of sessions with a great selection of folk inspired performances.  When you take a look, don’t forget to check out a set of videos for Oldseed as well.  Visit them on Vimeo HERE.

Okay back to the music…I Am Oak is my kind of music, so if you are reading this, it just may be yours as well (let’s hope shall we).   I Am Oak (or Thijs Kuijken) was recommended from a good source also in the Netherlands and I can’t thank him enough.  He has great banjo chops and especially in that “An Oxen” video I can’t stop thinking of The Tallest Man On Earth album cover!  Vocals soo smooth that it feels tracked/produced/mastered all while being one take in an abandoned school!

Look for a full feature on I Am Oak in the next couple weeks for the Old Songd album here on Slowcoustic as well.  If you wanted to look into IAO a bit more, please visit his MySpace page.
