A couple of recommendations to search out that I have been listening to lately (as far as I know there is no “official” promo tracks for most of them, so just buy ‘em!):

• Racingpaperplanes new EP “Wake Up” (mellow acoustic, lo-fi, beautiful – stream a couple of tracks HERE).
• The new album from Samantha Crain “You (Understood)” – her voice is intoxicating, almost anything she sings I like – check Tart from Love Shack, Baby who’s blog post does have a song over HERE.
• That Graham Nash tribute album for the Robin Pecknold track alone (Pitchfork review)
• The new album “It’s Not Just Kissing” from French Quarter (it like a less stereo version of American Analog Set – its great and I do actually have a track, listen to “Bold With Fire Pt. 2″ …remember think AMANSET), visit FQ on MySpace or his Blog for a couple more tracks and purchase options.
