One band that really impressed me with their ‘debut’ album was The Tree Ring and the album Generous Shadows.  That song Wore It Deep and the accompanying video were really great (Thanks to Adrian from I Pick My Nose Blog for pointing them out).  So when I saw they had a new track recorded for the Lost Ark Studio Compilation out in San Diego, I rushed over and grabbed it.  It once again shows the strengths of Joel P West and that he is settling in with the official band they call The Tree Ring.  I mention this as the song was originally from his solo Dust Jacket project and this song is a new recording with him as a band.  There is a post with photos on their website (link at bottom) about the recording of the song.

There will be a new album coming out fairly soon from what I can tell but no firm date (I think), but I am always hopeful I see an announcement like this one about new material from The Tree Ring.  Band to watch for sure.
