Halfway House Music

Halfway House Music in Grand Rapids, Michigan has been a staple for those who enjoy the folk and indie music scene for a few years now.  Because HHM has been around and consistently putting out great product, I want to stress how it is necessary to have outlets like them and their grass-roots approach to “our music”.  To say they are an invaluable resource to recording the best in local Michigan and country/world-wide touring acts is an understatement in my opinion.  Personally, I have had numerous great experiences with the crew over there in both having our Yer Bird Records artists part of the sessions and getting great music via their video sessions in general.  I can’t say enough great things about Chris, Jeremy and the entire Stone House recording crew.  Kudos, my friends…kudos.

This brings me to a couple of new sessions from Jonathan Russell of The Head and the Heart and Kalispell that have made their way through the Stone House recently.  Both great sessions with Russell being more heartfelt singer-songwriter and Kalispell bringing fantastic finger picking guitar and violin folk.  Take a look at both sessions below and swing by Halfway House Music for the full feature of both.
