Goodnight folks, I will leave you with one of the tracks from the newest Peter Broderick album (fittingly the end track). Just gorgeous use of piano, strings and atmosphere: he used no other instruments/sounds other than those from piano and violin. This is the stuff that baffles me in its creation as it seems so beyond me. I understand great songs, just sometimes people make you sit back be humbled, Peter Broderick’s creations do this to me. Don’t get me started on his contributions to many other projects (such as both Horse Feathers albums, numerous Norfolk & Western albums and even the latest Balmorhea release!). Nuff said.
The album, or soundtrack, for this particular mention is for a performance piece from Ms. Adrienne Hart and is a 7 piece movement (no pun intended) described as such:
“The piece is set in a psychiatric hospital and centered around one man’s struggle to retain his identity in the most extreme of circumstances.”

“The Path to Recovery” (mp3)
from “Music for Falling from Trees”
(Western Vinyl)
Again, ’nuff said.
Enjoy your night, the week awaits you tomorrow!
