Netherlands Indie-folk band The Black Atlantic have been a staple of Slowcoustic for a few years now and I have over that time gotten to “internet know” Geert from the band.  Great guy and once you look into him you know he has a lot more music in him than you might expect (did someone say he used to be in a punk band?).  Well, enough of calling him out onto the mat where he can’t defend himself but in his defense (see what I did there?) he has provided an excellent selection of some of his favourite songs of 2012.  Well, some of is Slowcoustic orientated favourites that include music that spans his personal favourites, musicians that have meaning to him specifically and beautiful music created from friends – all from this calendar year!
