Friday Bandcamp Playlist; Hiss Golden Messenger & Elephant Micah, Zachary Lucky, The Sumner Brothers and Greater Pacific

Zihuatanejo CraneThe above photo has nothing to do with this post, but on Fridays I tend to think of not being at work and relaxing back where I took this photo.  God damn I would rather be there than here…but at least it is Friday…
The music starts below.

Today’s post is a playlist of Bandcamp streams from various artists I enjoy.  Thought I would share.

Hiss Golden Messenger Plays Elephant Micah Plays Hiss Golden Messenger

Hiss Golden Messenger has a 7″ split with Elephant Micah (another Slowcoustic Favourite) coming out and they cover each others songs.  I like this idea and below is HGM’s version of the EM track My Cousin’s King.  The release is conveniently called Hiss Golden Messenger plays Elephant Micah Plays Hiss Golden Messenger 7″.  If nothing else it is accurate, no?

Or vice versa with Elephant Micah covering HGM’s track Balthazar’s Song.

The split can be purchased or bundled with each artists’s albums over on the Bandcamp page for Paradise of Bachelors.

Zachary Lucky Saskatchewan Demos

Zachary Lucky is also releasing a cassette tape of the Saskatchewan Demos (with side B having the actual EP as well) and it is nice to see the bones of the songs from this great EP from Lucky.  Listen to the demo Wide Ocean which became Across The Ocean eventually from his Bandcamp Page.

The Sumner Brothers I'll Be There Tomorrow

In order to beat it into your head I am also including the track Going Out West from the upcoming album I’ll Be There Tomorrow from The Sumner Brothers.  We are still streaming it from our post here but here is direct stream for one of my all time favourite songs from the boys.

You can pre-order the album from their website.

Greater Pacific Incandescent

Next we have our own Yer Bird Records upcoming release for the debut full length album from Greater Pacific!  The album is called Incandescent and it includes more of their great laid back Americana.  You can listen to the lead off track below and pre-order from their Bandcamp.

There you have it, some Bandcamp love for your Friday.
