It is true my friends, Brown Bird has new material hitting the proverbial streets this October. News as such makes this blogger a happy fellow. Dave Lamb is the driving force behind the musical entity that is Brown Bird and he has been a favourite for a few years. See previous post HERE and the appearance on my best of 2008 list HERE. If you haven’t heard, you gotta hear, love it and sit with me as we await the release date when things in this crazy world all seem to be just a little be easier to deal with. RIYL – Matt Bauer, Horse Feathers and their ilk.
Check a video for “Run The Wire” from his “Such Unrest” album (although it is titled as “Stator The Rotor” – anyone, ideas?)
A few tracks from the great set from “Folk The System” (who I am not sure is around anymore) – but check them out HERE for more of their great radio shows and the rest of this set from 2007.
“Run the Wire (live on Folk the System!)”
“Such Unrest (Live on Folk the System!)”
So keep an eye on the Peapod Recordings Site for updates and to purchase the new album “The Devil Dancing” when it comes out the October!
